Tarleton women's cross country team has moved up two spots to No. 8 in the latest regional poll for the South Central Region released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Led by sophomore Esmeralda Fuentes, the TexAnns won the second LSC title in program history last weekend at the conference championships. Fuentes saw a second-place finish in the 6,000-meter course in a time of 22:06.73.

The TexAnns are one of two LSC teams in the regional rankings with West Texas A&M coming in ninth.

Tarleton will compete at the NCAA South Central Regional hosted by West Texas A&M on Saturday, Nov. 4.
