The Stephenville High School varsity girls earned fourth place in the Class 4A division and the boys squad finished 10th in the big-school division (5A-6A schools) last Wednesday in Cleburne High School’s Yellow Jacket Invitational.

The Honeybees finished behind only River Oaks Castleberry, Midlothian Heritage and Brock in the 4A 3,000 meters.

Presley Wall was the top finisher for the Honeybees, taking eighth place in a time of 11:15.52. Emily Kirbo gave SHS a 12th-place finish with a time of 11:28.52.

Also for the Honeybees, Reagan Henry was 23rd, Jordan Beyer 28th, Anahi Rivas 31st and Monica Flores next at No. 32.

The boys 5A-6A 5,000 meters was won by Waxahachie, followed by Belton and Waxahachie Life School. The SHS boys were 10th, ahead of Grand Prairie, Burleton and Cleburne.

Christian Brown of Stephenville placed 23rd with a time of 16:42.35. Teammate Luis Carrillo was 28th, finishing in 16:54.08. Lane Rust was next for SHS with 32nd place, followed by Daniel Osornio 99th and Gustavo Vazquez at No. 121.
