With July already passed the halfway point, many of the Cross Timbers athletic camps have already come and gone for the summer.

With only a couple of weeks remaining, young athletes have a handful of camps to choose from.

Of those remaining are opportunities for elite instruction by both the Tarleton State University men's basketball program and the TexAnn's volleyball program.

The Texans are coming off another successful season where they reached the Elite Eight in back-to-back seasons, while the TexAnns recorded a record-breaking season and reached the NCAA Tournament.

Once again, Tarleton State University athletic camps are drawing a big crowd. Just last week the Texan Elite Camp drew 151 campers which tied the record for the most ever.

In light of the recent success of the camp, Associate Head Men's Basketball coach Chris Reisman recently spoke about the relationship of the Cross Timbers area and Tarleton athletics.

“We just really appreciate the community, not just Stephenville, but the Cross Timbers area,” said Reisman. “Year after year we receive support from the community and we’re drawing fans and campers from further out and extending our fan base. We thank the parents for allowing us to work with their kids and we hope they continue to come back.”
