The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new location of The Red Umbrella in the University Plaza Shopping Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 22. The Red Umbrella Bakery & Dessert Bar is a family-based business that offers a variety of seasonal and year round sweet treats. Owner Emily Thompson said that many of the recipes come from her family and the business name was inspired by her mom from a special book. The bakery features artisan cupcakes, cheesecakes, cookies, custom cakes, and special orders with natural ingredients as well as gluten free and sugar free options.
