Kevin Lopez is running for Texas Senate District 30. The district includes multiple counties in North Texas, including all of Erath. He currently serves on the Bridgeport city council.  Kevin knows first-hand the struggles of funding infrastructure and public safety on the local level. For 14 years, he has served as a firefighter and paramedic. As a first-responder he cares deeply about ensuring that local law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services have adequate resources, equipment, and training.

Before starting his career as a firefighter, Kevin worked in the oil and gas industry and as an electrical lineman. He understands the challenges that working and middle class people face to find good paying jobs that will provide a decent quality of life for their families. He knows what it means to work for a living.

Kevin supports a well-funded public school system, with vocational education programs. ISDs are major employers for rural Texas. A private school voucher system would devastate rural ISDs, which is why Kevin opposes them. As a father of two young children, he understands the value of a quality public education system. Kevin Lopez would be a voice for the common-man in Austin, and that is why he has my vote. I encourage you all to read more about him and his platform at
