As long time community members and educators, we are in full support of The Stephenville ISD Bond.

Knowing that our schools make a difference in how our community thrives, updating our schools is imperative to having a great town.  As a city of champions we hope to continue to offer current and successful career paths for our children.  Extracurricular activities are a major component to well rounded students.  We have proven to be leaders in the State in athletics and the fine arts; lets not just keep up but offer state of the art opportunities to our students.

Recognizing that not all of our students are college bound, we must provide skills tracts in many areas of vocational interests so that all our students are better prepared to be the citizens of a productive, serving society.  After all, every one needs a basic knowledge in home and environment to be well-rounded adults.

According to state law, school taxes for residents age 65 and over with a homestead exemption are frozen and will not increase from this election.  Public school districts do not receive state funding for facility improvements, so community approval is required to help keep the facilities up to date and safe.

Please join us May 5th in voting YES for the SISD Bond.

Sincerely,

Mike & Sena Leese
