STEPHENVILLE - Brian Wayne Pittman, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 11, 2020. He was surrounded by loved ones in his home.
Wayne was born on June 23, 1935 in Dublin, TX to L.D. Pittman and Mary (Scott) Pittman.
He met the love of life his, Ruby Jean Allison, in the fifth grade. Wayne graduated from Dublin High School in 1953. The two were married on Feb. 20, 1954, and raised two daughters. Like his dad, he became a dairy and peanut farmer. He was a member of Green’s Creek Baptist Church where he was active in the choir and the softball team. Wayne had a passion for writing and performing music. He also loved to draw and wood carve.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Jean of 65 years, two daughters, Karen Fritz, husband, Marty of Stephenville, TX, and Kaye Tolson, husband Tom, of Stephenville, TX. He also had five grandchildren, Traci, Lindsay, Josh, Britney and Erin. He also had two great-grandchildren, Harrison and Hadley. Wayne is also survived by his sister, Wanda Pack, several nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be at Stephenville Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will also be at Stephenville Funeral Home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ben McCleery officiating. Interment will follow at Erath Gardens and Memory.
