Viola Truss

Stephenville - Viola Truss, age 92, of Stephenville, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Viola was born March 3, 1929 in Red Springs, TX, to the late Herbert and Lillie Mueller Hennig. She had lived in Stephenville, TX for the past 19 years. Previous to that she lived in Aleman, TX, for over 50 years. During her years in Aleman she was a member and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. After moving to Stephenville, she would attend Faith Lutheran Church.

Viola is survived by her sons, Tom Truss and wife JoAnn, Terry Truss and wife Judy, Tim Truss, Travis Truss and wife Vicki, Troy Truss and wife Sheryl, and sister Carolyn Scott. Preceded in death by her parents Herbert August Hennig and wife Lillian Agness Mueller, son Ted Truss, sister Florene Westerfield, twin sister Leola Shoaf, and Marilyn Lippe.

During her life, besides raising children Viola had several occupations, working in a family business which was a rural community repair garage and filling station, school bus driver, worked at a bank in Hamilton TX, was a substitute teacher, worked at the post office in Purmela TX, and also worked as a prison guard and crafts teacher in Gatesville TX. Her favorite things to do was anything to do with the kids, travel when she could, and she liked to cook, baking cakes including wedding cakes, crafts and sewing, painting, and she enjoyed dancing.
