Frank Lee Cowan
Stephenville - Graveside service for Franklin Lee Cowan will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Meadow Cemetery with Rev. Donovan Martin officiating.
Frank passed away on March 6, 2021 in Burleson. He was born on November 17, 1927 in Meadow to Charlie and Bessie Cowan. When he was 14 years old, he moved to the family ranch in Stephenville. He worked on the ranch until he was 23 and was drafted into the United States Army where he served in Alaska for 16 months. Frank returned to the family ranch after he was discharged from the Army. He loved the ranch and worked the ranch for the rest of his time. Frank was known by "Bud" by many and "Uncle Bud" by his nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Bessie Cowan; Siblings, James Cowan, Charlie Cowan Jr., Sue Cowan, Rebecca M. Cowan, Cecil W. Cowan, and John A. Cowan.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Viola Williams of Stephenville, Opal Russell of Stephenville, and Charlene Pruitt of Mineral Wells; and many nieces and nephews.
