BLUFF DALE — JB Stringer, Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Fort Worth.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Visitation will be an hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Stringer was born June 11, 1941, in Odessa, to JB Stringer, Sr. and Mary Ellen Farrar Stringer. He married Janice Yvette Bailey, Feb. 14, 1971, in Odessa. JB was a graduate of Odessa High School and Texas Tech University. He served in the US Army and retired after 27 years of service as a senior claims representative from TXU. He was a member of the Bluff Dale United Methodist Church and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
Survivors include wife, Janice Stringer of Bluff Dale; son, Joseph Bailey Stringer of Fort Worth; sisters, Sue Rylee and husband, John, of Odessa, Sara Hignight and husband, John, of Lubbock; sisters-in-law, Quintilla Hufford and husband, Larry, of Liberty Hill, JoLene Johnston and husband, J Morris, of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, North Texas Chapter, 4086 Sandshell, Fort Worth, Texas 76137.
