STEPHENVILLE - Dalphine(Granny Chick) Medford, 90, a bookkeeper and clerk for cattle auctions, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with arrangements by Lacy Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Lacy Funeral Home.

She was born on Aug. 11, 1917, to the late Oscar and Ida (Kempson) Jones in Erath County. She married Dae Thomas on Sept. 5, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1970. She married Jesse Henry Medford on Jan. 18, 1974, in Stephenville. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2005. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Jimmy Joyce (J. J.) Decker of Granbury; one grandson and wife, Wayne and Sue Decker of Round Rock; one great-grandson, Colton Dae Decker of Round Rock; two nephews, Stan Hancock of New York City and Randy Tackett of Plano; and two nieces, Vickie Burge of Midland, and Melissa Burge, Calif.
