GLEN ROSE—Howard E. Brawley, Jr. passed away on May 29. He went to be with his Lord with his loving wife Janell and his sister Bonnah at his side. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Glen Rose. Burial will follow at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow.
Mr. Brawley was born April 1, 1928 in Fort Worth to Howard Edwin Brawley, Sr. and Lauree Wood Brawley. He served in the United States Navy and was the owner of A&B Kubota Implement in Stephenville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glen Rose, where he was a greeter for many years. He was loved and respected by everyone in the community.
He is survived by his wife Janell Brawley, of Glen Rose; his sister Bonnah Boyd, of Glen Rose; his nephew Dan Boyd and his wife Renee, of Lubbock; his grand-nephew David Boyd, grand-niece Taryn Boyd, both of Lubbock; his son, Dr. Jan N. Ogletree and wife Barbara, of Austin; his granddaughters Cindy Cooper, of Bakersfield, CA; Maria Spellman and husband Lance of Dallas and five great-grandchildren.
