STEPHENVILLE — Charles Ray “Charlie” Godi, 66, a Master Sign Electrician, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at Huguley Hospital in Ft. Worth.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Cottonwood Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Fritscher officiating assisted by Dale Carr. Burial will be at Cottonwood Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Lacy Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
He was born on May 14, 1940, to Charles Franklin & Margaret Estelle (Helton) Godi in Denton County. He married Georgene Hulsey on Aug. 9, 1992, in Stephenville. He was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church in Dublin, the American Legion, and was an Army and Air Force veteran, retiring as Chief Master Sgt. from the Air Force after 26 years.
Survivors include wife, Georgene Godi of Stephenville; children, Stacy Godi and wife, Diane of Arlington, Tracy Godi and partner, Jeff Giffault of Manchester, Conn., David Godi and fiancee, Kelli of Aledo, and Dana Godi of White Settlement; one sister, Frances Taber of Arlington; step-children, Shelley Alexander and husband, Jeff “Chili” of Stephenville, Heath Bamber and wife, Karen of Dublin, and Sean Wyatt and wife, Nyki of Stephenville; 14 grandchildren, Chelsea, Alex and Jonathan Godi, Kayela Dennison, Leann Fincannon, Ashley, Jesse, and Kyleigh Bamber, Creed and Noble Alexander, Kaitlin and Kenadee Wyatt, and Kaily and McKenzie Reason.; and one great-grandchild, Kiersten.
