Harry A. Woodward, 73, finished his watch here on Earth and went home to rest with Jesus in Heaven on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Waxahachie, Texas.
Harry was born in Duncan, Oklahoma to Albert Arch and Annie Lou Woodward. He grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School in 1964.
On Oct. 1, 1986 he married the love of his life Veronica Roberts and they lived around the Metroplex before settling in Ennis.
Harry retired from DFW Airport on Jan. 1, 2009. He was a member of Baylor Baptist Church of Ennis, the Marine Corp League of Ellis County and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 234 of Stephenville, where he served as commander for five years. He was the National Deputy Chief of Staff for the National Disabled American Veterans from July 1, 2015 until June 30, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of over 32 years, Veronica Woodward; daughters: Tami Cox and husband, Paul; Tonya LeCompte and husband, James and Stephanie New and husband, Doug; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Charles A. Woodward and wife, Ann; sister, Alice Jo Barton and husband, Jim as well as a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Annie Woodward and twin brother, Larry A. Woodward.
