DUBLIN – Services for Wanda Geraldine Sharp, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Greens Creek Baptist Church in Dublin. David Blagg will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Lower Green’s Creek Cemetery.  Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.

Wanda was born in Lorenzo to the late Earl and Dovie Lee (Cox) Hall. She grew up in the Purves community of Erath County, Texas.  Wanda married Ray Preston Sharp on April 15, 1949 in Dublin.  They made their initial home in Dublin but soon made a life together in the Land of Enchantment, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She quickly found a position at the Rainbow Beauty Salon in Albuquerque where she built up a loyal and large clientele.

Upon retiring from her beautician career, Wanda and Ray moved to Amarillo, Texas.  A short while later upon Ray's retirement, they returned to Erath County and to their farm where Wanda worked out her retirement by raising her garden, attending her beloved Greens Creek Baptist Church, caring for her grandchildren and their children and helping care for her extended family.
