STEPHENVILLE—Funeral services for Janice Ann Taliaferro Weaver, 78, will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Loveless Cemetery in Eden, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home.

Janice was born in Eden, Texas to the late Ovey and Basha Sockwell Taliaferro. She married the love of her life Don Weaver on Dec. 30, 1957 in Eden and together they raised three sons. 

Janice held numerous jobs throughout her life, with a focus in the field of accounting and bookkeeping. Don preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 2016. Janice life was devoted to her family and her church. 

After retirement, Janice enjoyed spending time with Don at their beautiful lakefront home on Lake Livingston. She loved to go fishing, camping and spend time with her family. Janice was a very active member of the Baptist Church. She resided in Stephenville for the past six years and was a member of the Pony Creek Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Daryle Weaver of Stephenville, Ray Weaver and wife Angela of Orange, and Gaylon Weaver and wife Diana of Converse; grandchildren, Miranda Weaver Woodall and husband Austin of North Richland Hills, Adam Weaver and wife Rita of Buda, Joshua Weaver and wife Jami of Beaumont, and Caleb and Timothy Weaver of Orange; great-grandchildren, Madee Lujan, Colt Woodall, Carter Woodall, and Henry Weaver.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ovey and Basha Taliaferro; husband, Don Weaver; and brothers, Lavelle and Billy Taliaferro.
