NEW BRAUNFELS—Funeral services for Helen Adell Alexander, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, at Manchaca United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Onion Creek Memorial Park in Manchaca, Texas.  A reception will be held prior to services at 10 a.m. at the church. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels.

Helen graduated from the University of Texas, Austin in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Micro-Biology. She married Grover Alexander on Aug. 17, 1957. 

They were members of Manchaca United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and researching her family’s genealogy.  

She is survived by her husband, Grover L. Alexander; son, Rex Alexander of Alvin, TX; daughter, Beverly Alexander of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren, Dyana Karcher and husband Matt of Celina, TX and Christina Brune of Spicewood, TX; sister, Mary Frances Miertschin of Stephenville, TX; and two nieces and a nephew.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.
