STRAWN—A memorial service for Bob Wainscott, 78, will be held under the direction of Stephenville Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at The Oak Dale, 9771 N. SH 108, just outside of Stephenville.

Bob was born in Paris, Tennessee to the late William and Mamie Todd Wainscott. He married LaVada Sparks on Nov. 11, 1959 in Dora, New Mexico. He worked as a police officer in Stephenville and as a deputy sheriff for Erath County. 

Bob drove a milk truck for CMS for 20 years before his retirement. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Palo Pinto Cowboy Church.

Survivors include his wife, LaVada Wainscott of Strawn; daughter, Tammy Wainscott Griffin of Lipan; sons, Billy Wainscott and wife Christy of Gillette, Wyoming, and Todd Wainscott and wife Jolisa of Newcastle, Wyoming; grandchildren, Rochelle Sapp, Becca Engwicht, Bambie Ransdell, Tiphanie Wainscott, Nichie Alcorn, Dusty Wainscott, Amber Medina, Ashley Wainscott, Gunner Wainscott, Katlyn Kershaw, and Shawn Kershaw; eleven great grandchildren; and two sisters, LaRue Bissette of North Carolina, and Peggy Fuchs of Sugarland.
