AMARILLO—Graveside services for Yvonne Airhart, 91, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Happy Cemetery in Happy, Texas, with Scott Pool officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Plano. The family will hold a visitation from 5-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Cox Funeral Home in Amarillo.

Yvonne was born in Clarendon to Fredrick and Ella Mae Hext. 

She graduated from Happy High School in 1942. She married L.G. Airhart in 1945 in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Yvonne worked as a secretary for W.C. Bowie Bookkeeping, which later became Travis Taylor Bookkeeping. She was employed there for more than 20 years until her retirement. She was proud to be a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Amarillo.

Survivors include her two daughters, Angela Nix and husband Kent of Plano and Alicia Pool and husband Scott of Stephenville; a grandson, Landon Pool and wife Lilli of Plano; a granddaughter, Roque’ Christensen and husband Dan of Lewisville; and three great-grandchildren, Naylan Pool, Aydan Pool and Adia Pool.

The family suggests memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, Florida, 33607; or Happy Cemetery, PO Box 343, Happy, Texas, 79042.
