STEPHENVILLE—A celebration of life service for Terry Ralph Jenkins, 57, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at the First Baptist Church in Stephenville. All are invited to his visitation from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Lacy Funeral Home.
The eldest of six children, Terry was born in Palestine, Texas. He was a loving husband of 28 years to Amy Michele Jenkins and a doting father of four. Terry was a dedicated employee of Emerson Electric for 32 years, and he served as Plant Manager in Stephenville for the last decade.
He was an avid sportsman who loved snow skiing, amusement parks, men’s softball, and sport biking. He enjoyed good movies, classic rock and roll, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. Terry was diagnosed with an advanced stage of cancer in 2003. He fought courageously and remained a cancer survivor. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville and served as a deacon for the past eight years. Terry also served as a United Way Board Member.
He is preceded in death by his brother Tracy Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife Amy Michele Jenkins; father Bill Jenkins and stepmother Yvonne Jenkins; mother Lavada Jenkins; sisters Shanna Simmons, Lori Holeman, Stephanie Ortiz-Cerrillo, Amanda Jenkins, and Tammy Hudson; children Josh Jenkins, Rhiannon Jenkins, Abigail Thomas, and Betti Brooks; and grandchildren Jordyn Jenkins, Stehl Jenkins, and Shay Brooks.
His passion for life was an inspiration to all, and his love for Jesus filled all aspects of his life.
While walking with Jesus, Terry will live on as the head of the family in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Kinderbridge at the First Baptist Church.
