STEPHENVILLE—Services for Ernest Boucher, 90, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Braham officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Ernest was born in Stephenville to Odd V. Boucher and Emma (Slade) Boucher. He married Ruth Ann Brown on March 25, 1950 in Weatherford. She preceded him in death on Nov. 30, 2015.

He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Boucher was a hard worker, devout husband and wonderful father to his children.

Ernest served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Seaman 1st Class from approximately 1943-1946.

Survivors include his daughters, Leslie Jones and husband Johny of Jal, New Mexico, Laurie Vowell and husband Dwane of Simonton, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by three children, Ernest ‘Ernie’ Boucher, Emily Silva and Van Boucher; and brother, J.C. Boucher.
