It was just another day on the job for Alberto Leopoldo Reyes, Jr., — until the police showed up and arrested him Wednesday for supplying drugs to minors.
Reyes, 20, was hard at work digging a grave at the Gardens of Memory cemetery when detectives with the Stephenville Police Department showed up and took him into custody.
Detective Sergeant Russell Ford said Reyes allegedly supplied marijuana to a teenager who took the drug to school to sell to another student. Ford said school officials caught the students with the marijuana and notified authorities. An investigation into the incident led to Reyes’ arrest.
Reyes was charged with delivery of marijuana to a child and was released on a $15,000 bond.
One of the juveniles was charged with delivery of marijuana in a drug free zone, a state jail felony. The second juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana in a drug free zone, a Class A misdemeanor.
