Kids, get your baskets ready!
At 6 p.m. tonight, an air horn will sound at Jaycee Optimist Park in Stephenville, signaling the start of the city's annual Easter egg hunt.
Lacey Dingman, recreation superintendent for SPARD, said little egg hunters should arrive early because the hunt will start right at 6 - and will be over fast.
"It goes quick so I suggest people arrive no later than 5:45 p.m.," Dingman said.
Before the hunt, kids will be divided into three groups by age: 0-2, 3-5 and 6-9.
The kids will line up on the perimeters of their boundary and take off from there. City staff has been busy stuffing more than 2,000 eggs with candy for the free, community-wide event.
And as an added bonus, the Easter bunny will be on hand and available for pictures before and after the hunt.
