Sandy Reed is retiring and the Dublin Economic Development Corporation is seeking a new executive director.

Reed, who has served as the executive director of the Dublin EDC for nine years, recently decided it was time to spend more time doing the things she loves.

ďIíve worked all my life and itís kind of nice to be able to do what you want to do,Ē she said.

Upon retirement, Reed plans on cooking, traveling, freelance writing and involving herself in church ministries at First United Methodist Church in Stephenville where her husband is a minister.

The EDC is currently searching for Reedís replacement. The candidate should have a bachelorís degree in business, public administration or a related field. Five years experience in a management position is also required.

Applicants should have effective written and oral communication skills and be well organized. A knowledge of federal and state programs, community and economic development activities and programs is required.
