Stephenville police have made good on their promise to continue arresting suspected drug dealers in the area.

On Thursday, narcotics officers arrested Victor Abimbola Tokunboh, 23, a Tarleton State University student suspected of delivering ecstasy, a "designer" drug similar to methamphetamine.

"This arrest is part of an extensive undercover operation we have been involved in for many months," said Lt. Don Miller. "More (arrests) will be coming. We still have several warrants to serve."

Miller said Tokunboh had been under surveillance for several days before police made the arrest around noon Thursday. Officers stopped Tokunboh, who was traveling in a silver Altima, at the corner of Vanderbilt and Lillian streets.

He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and taken to the Erath County Jail. A bond amount had not been set.
