From a Tuscany Mediterranean style to a custom built modern Texas abode with an unusual twist, there will be five unique homes featured in this year's Tour of Homes, sponsored by the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council.
The tour will take place from 1-5 p.m., Dec 2.
Stacy Smith, executive director, said this is going to be an exceptional tour.
“Last year, 300 tickets were sold. Our goal this year is 500,” he said.
This year's guest artist is Donna Standerwick of Washington state. Her watercolor and oil creations are presently on display. A holiday scene has been painted especially for the event.
The affair will coincide with the Fine Arts Council's open house. The holiday gift shop will be open featuring artisans' creations. Hors d'ouevres, confections, and spiced cider will be served to guests.
The Tarleton State Strings and guitarist Adam Hull will provide music during the event. An original Christmas pastel by Kerri Fleming will be raffled.
Although cameras will not be allowed during the tour, Smith said participants will gain innovative ideas of how to decorate for the season.
Tickets are now on sale at Scott's Flowers on the Square, First Financial Bank, Greenmaker Nursery, Town & Country Bank, and CTFAC. Presale tickets are $12 or $15 the day of the tour. A credit card may be used if acquired at CTFAC.
The tour is self-guided. Participants will receive a map when tickets are purchased.
