During tonightís meeting of the Stephenville Independent School District (SISD) Board of Trustees, the board will recognize the districtís athletic trainers and the Stingerette Drill Team.
In addition to items of regular business, the board will consider approval for the following: the adoption of new textbooks for elementary math students, a contract with Vibra-Whirl Sports, Ltd. for the UIL competition at Lem Brock Field and continued participation in the regional benefits for 2008-2009.
In his report, superintendent Dr. Darrell Floyd will address the following: a special education track meet, the districtís employee appreciation banquet, the high schoolís academic hall of fame, a special education banquet and upcoming baccalaureate and graduation ceremonies.
The board will also meet in closed session to consider teacher contract renewals.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the boardroom at the districtís administration office at 2655 W. Overhill, across from the high school.
