A 42-year-old man, reportedly with an outstanding Erath County arrest warrant related to charges of indecency with a child, has been caught in another state.
The Pittsburgh (Penn.) Tribune-Review reported this week that the man — “an alleged child predator” named Duane David Harouse — was arrested Friday near Summit Inn.
According to the newspaper, state police arrested Harouse, of 701 Park Manor, Monessen, after his vehicle “caught fire at 8:10 p.m. at the scenic overlook along Route 40.”
“When the fire was extinguished, police discovered an outstanding arrest warrant issued for Harouse on charges of indecency with a child,” the Tribune-Review reported.
Harouse was arraigned “before on-call District Judge Robert Breakiron in Bullskin and lodged in Fayette County Prison on $50,000 bond,” the newspaper said.
