Do you want to get into the bucking bull business? Don’t miss a great opportunity to watch the upcoming rising stars in the professional bucking bull industry and raise your hand to bid on bucking bred cattle this weekend at the first annual XS Ranch Production Sale and ABBI Breeder’s Cup Event. All the action is free and will be held this weekend at Lonestar Arena.

Fans of the professional bucking bull industry will be able to watch future big names of the bucking bull business at the Breeder’s Cup Futurity.

“This is a competition for two-year-olds only using electronic dummies on these bulls. We will pay through 20 spots with 84 bulls competing for almost $50,000 with the first place check worth over $11,000,” said Randy Schmutz, owner of Looks West Productions. “This is the single largest American Bucking Bull Incorporated regular season event excluding the ABBI finals.”

Schmutz said this will be the first of an annual XS Ranch Production Sale and Breeder’s Cup Event, produced by Looks West Productions.

The Bull Futurity and Cattle Sale will begin on Saturday. Admission is free. Spectators will be able to view all sale cattle from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the sale beginning at 6 p.m. The sale will include 58 premium bucking bred females from 3 area stock contractors- XS Ranch, Boyd/Floyd Bull Company and Ace of Spades Ranch.

At 10 a.m., a Cowboy Church service will begin followed by the official 1 p.m. start of the Breeder’s Cup 2-year old Bull Futurity. There are 84 entries in the futurity; one of the largest sanctioned events and it is the final ABBI futurity event for 2007. Money and points won at this event will count toward the ABBI Finals to be held in Enid, OK Sept. 24-27.
