We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in helping make the annual Memorial Day Breakfast a success for 2007. We want to publicly thank Chicken Express, the employees of Stephenville Dollar General, HEB, the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Group of Stephenville, and Wal-Mart Super Center for supporting us with their donations for the Memorial Day Breakfast. Without their generosity the breakfast would not have happened.
Many of our local veterans and their families attended the breakfast and it was a wonderful opportunity to tell them thanks and to let them know their community appreciates them for many sacrifices they have made on our behalf and for their service to our country. We as a community and as a nation need to pay tribute to them every chance given us; Memorial Day was a perfect time to remind them they are appreciated and loved.
The DAV Chapter #234 and DAVA Unit #234 hosted the breakfast for the first time this year. It was an honor to host such a worthy community event and we look forward to serving next year.
The breakfast was a success and we appreciate the support shown to us by our community and to our veterans.
We also had many volunteers that made this breakfast a success.
A special thanks to the cooks, the servers, and the cleaners — your help was greatly appreciated.
