In addition to the spring and summer months being kitten and puppy season, the Erath County Humane Society (ECHS) is always in great need of donations and contributions from the public.
John Baxter with Baxter Chemical & Supply, answered that need when he delivered a load of much-needed supplies to the shelter earlier this week.
According to a spokeswoman for the ECHS, with the help of Baxter’s and other businesses in the area, their current need has been met.
However, the ECHS would like to note they receive no contributions from the United Way and are always grateful for the help the community provides, be it monetary or otherwise.
Contributions may be made in-person at the shelter during normal business hours or mailed to the Humane Society. If you need transportation for the items, please call the shelter at 965-3247.
Some of the items the shelter usually needs include liquid bleach, paper towels, liquid Lysol(r), garbage bags (size 33-gallon and up), toilet paper, pet toys or baby rubber toys, and plastic or metal pans to be used for food and water.
