Tonight during the City Council's committee work session, planning and development committee members Todd McEvoy, Andrew Johnson, Nancy Hunter, and Barry Ratliff will study a report to be presented by Brinkley, Sargent, and Associates. The architectural firm will discuss plans for the city park's recreational facility and the center for senior citizens.
In June, a Town Hall meeting with city committee members was held, followed by a public hearing for suggestions regarding preliminary plans for improvements in the facilities.
The committee will also consider renaming the Optimist Jaycee Park located at the intersection of Lingleville Highway and Harbin Street during the work session.
The work session will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the city hall training room, 298 West Washington.
