Stephenville City Council members will go behind closed doors Tuesday to evaluate and discuss the job performances of City Attorney Randy Thomas, City Secretary Cindy Stafford and City Administrator Mark Kaiser.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Training Room at Stephenville City Hall, which is located at 298 West Washington Street (Columbia Street entrance).

The closed-door session is part of the evaluation process that the city council does annually on top-level city employees, such as Thomas, Stafford and Kaiser.

In order to be able to go into executive session, the council has listed Texas Open Meetings Law, Subchapter D, Government Code, Vernon’s Texas Codes, Annotated, which allows for such deliberations for “the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.”

After the session, the council is scheduled to take action “on matters discussed in executive session.”

Nothing else is scheduled for Tuesday’s meeting.
