The Stephenville City Council will vote on an amended budget and the city property tax during tonight's business meeting.
Committees completed work sessions last week for the year end review. Any unusual conditions or circumstances and adjustments identified were explained in detail in preparation for tonight's vote.
There have been two public hearings on the city property tax.
“This is the final action after work done the past few months to finalize any adjustments for the vote,” said City Administrator Mark Kaiser.
Following the business meeting, there will be a committee work session to discuss two items.
There will be discussion of an application received from Genuine Parts Company to request a municipal settings designation. A report will be presented explaining what the situation is and what is being requested for the former Rayloc building on Hwy 377.
Two engineering architectural firms hired in June to assist in planning future structures are submitting preliminary drafts.
Bill Hidell of Hidell and Associates will present his initial report for the public library. A representative from Fred Parker and Associates will discuss the floor plan for City Park restrooms.
The regular business meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, located at 298 West Washington Street.
