SAN ANGELO - Tarleton State and Angelo State are deadlocked 7-7 at halftime in a Lone Star Conference South Division game at Angelo Stadium.
ASU began the scoring on the opening drive by using eight minutes to march to the end zone. The Rams used trickery in the form of a five-yard halfback pass from Garrett Tidwell to V'Keon Lacey to cap the drive.
Tarleton's offense was slow out of the gate for the fourth straight week, but answered with 1:50 on the second quarter clock when Scott Grantham hit Devin Guinn on a post route for a 33-yard TD.
****Note - Abilene Christian knocked off Texas A&M-Kingsville 47-35 this afternoon, meaning Tarleton clinches at least a share of both the LSC league-wide and South Division championships with a win tonight.*****
