Stephenville City Council members, in “committee work session” tonight, are scheduled to discuss amending the city’s parking ordinance to restrict parking on Tarleton Street from Harbin Drive to Dale Street.
The session, which is set to begin at 5:30 p.m., will be held in the Training Room at Stephenville City Hall.
Discussion of the possible parking ordinance change will take place in the council’s Public Health and Safety Committee, which includes council members Barry Ratliff, Andrew Johnson, Cyndi Godwin and Malcolm Cross.
The Public Health and Safety Committee will also talk about “public safety software,” a lease agreement for additional office space, and “asset forfeiture funds.”
In addition, the council’s Planning and Development Committee is slated to discuss “cost estimates” for the planned annexation of 500 acres of property and restrooms in City Park. That committee includes council members Todd McEvoy, Johnson, Nancy Hunter and Ratliff.
Also tonight, the council’s Public Works Committee - with Johnson, Ratliff, McEvoy and Mark Murphy as members - will discuss:
The 2006-2007 Street Reconstruction Program, The 2006-2007 Utility Line Replacement Program, The long-term water project aimed at bringing water from Lake Proctor to Stephenville, among other things, and A Pro-Rata Payment Program for annexed areas.
