Harve Stewart, SHS graduate, all-district Yellow Jacket football player and member of the TSU men’s rodeo team, is currently ranked 24th in Professional Bull Riding’s Built Ford Tough series. At 19, Harve is riding high and is a bright star in an impressive lineup of the best bull riders in the world. His natural athletic ability combined with intense practice and expert advice from local champions, Ty Murray, Gilbert and Adam Carrillo, is taking him higher and higher in his chosen profession.

Included in his 16 successful rides are two in the 90s. Harve had a 91 point score in Tulsa, July 20, aboard Savage Shaker and earned $5,202 take home money. Local fans will have an opportunity to view that ride Saturday night on Versus. (Check TV schedule for time).

After Tulsa’s successful outing, Stewart scored 90 points to claim $18,950 in Glendale, winning the first round. That performance will be televised on Versus at a later date.

“I’ll be riding in the Ross Coleman Invitational in Oregon August 10-11,” Harve said. “My next scheduled outing in the Built Ford Tough Series will be in Chihuahua, Mexico. This is an exciting season and I feel that I am ready.”

In his short career, Harve Stewart has earned more than $65,000, according to reports from the PBR.
