To the editor,
On February 24, tragedy struck my family in a way we never suspected nor were prepared for. Our future daughter-in-law, Jaclyn Creech, was in a horrific tractor accident in
Comanche County which left her without her right arm and facing numerous surgeries to graft skin destroyed by the accident. While she may live in Comanche County, her accident has touched the lives of many Erath County residents as well as made a huge impact on the nationwide agricultural world. Her fiance, Andrew Wheeler, has many friends and business associates in this county. I would personally like to thank everyone who has lifted Jaclyn, Andrew, the Creechs and my family up in prayer. A blood drive was very successful, having more donors than supplies. A benefit will be held at Cook’s Fish Barn on Hwy 36 outside of Comanche on March 30th. Also, TexasBank has opened an account to help the families financially during this time. We have been touched by the show of support from those we know and those who we may never be able to tell them thank you. Please continue to keep Jaclyn in your prayers. She is still in critical condition, but remains stable.
Her battle is far from being over.
