Sounding stunned after spending an hour and a half Tuesday and most of the day Wednesday selling tickets to tonight's District 8-4A championship game between Stephenville and Everman, SISD athletics secretary Stacey Hawkins reported that almost 500 tickets still remain.

Each school has been provided a total 2,000 tickets to sell, and 900 of Stephenville's were purchased Fridy for the immediate families of students involved in the game through the football team, cheerleaders, band and Stingerettes.

School officials expected tickets to be gone quickly at the Tuesday sale to the general public, but hardly more than 100 people showed up and purchased an estimated 300 seats.

Approximately 300 additional tickets were sold throughout the day Thursday, according to Hawkins.

She planned to sell more at the junior varsity football game in Stephenville Thursday evening, and will have all remaining tickets available for purchase until noon today in the high school lobby.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students.
