A first come, first serve continuing education sign language class is filling up quickly.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in sign language or in communication at all,” said Jessica H. Powell, graduate assistant for Tarleton Student Disability Services. “It looks great on resumes, as well.”

The Student Disability Services said on Friday, after they sent out e-mails to the Tarleton student body and several businesses in the community, the class has started to fill up and there are only about 50 seats left.

Anyone interested in registering for the beginning sign language class must register by 5 p.m. on Sept. 6, in room 201 of the Math Building on the Tarleton campus. Payment is due at registration and is $50 for the general public and $35 for students. There will be no refunds for the class and no course credit is given.

Class will be held on Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m. beginning Sept. 10, and running through Nov. 12. The class will be held in multipurpose room 125 of Tarleton’s Math Building.
