STEPHENVILLE, Texas — The W.K. Gordon Center for Texas Industrial History has added a summer outdoor exhibit on a local boy who served with honor in World War II.

In accordance with covid-19 regulations regarding gallery capacity, visitors may enjoy “Kessler O. Thomas: Thurber Boy to Fighter Pilot” in the center’s outdoor space as they cycle through the main gallery.

This is an encore performance of an installation that details a remarkable young man who was born in Thurber and became a pilot, then put his flying skills to use during the war.

The exhibition runs through June.
