Faith School is gearing up for their 10th annual 5K, one-mile fun run and craft show fundraiser beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Faith Lutheran Church.

The run will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the craft show will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In the past, the event has raised money to fund new playground services, classroom enrichment, furniture and playground tarps.

This year, the goal is to obtain a new playground structure.

“Every year, we always want to upgrade and get new items in the classrooms – whatever is on the cutting edge,” said Magan Estill, director of Faith School.

Various vendors will be at the craft show selling items like clothing, jewelry and Scentsy’s.

The event will feature a full concession menu with breakfast and lunch items.

“The burgers are kind of famous. We have our own special chef,” said Jennifer Thurman, coordinator of the event.

A meet and great featuring officers from the Tarleton State University Police Department, Stephenville Police Department and Erath County Sheriff’s Office will be at the event throughout the day to talk to children.

When asked what she was looking forward to, Estill said, “food, fun, fellowship and fitness.”

“I look forward to having a fun day filled with meeting new people and being able to see this event grow to benefit all of our children and families here at Faith School,” Thurman said.
