Friday is the last day to vote early in Tuesday’s Texas primaries.
Polls will remain open until 5 p.m. at the Erath County Courthouse and Dublin Annex.
Voter turnout has been good with heavy interest in several high-profile races in Erath County.
County Clerk Gwinda Jones said as of 9:30 a.m. Friday, 4,248 people had cast early ballots.
“The ballots are very long,” Jones told the E-T in a previous interview. “There are a lot of candidates and several propositions at the end of the ballot for both parties. It might be a good idea to print out the ballot and write notes on it. They can take that into the voting booth with them.”
Voters will not be allowed, however, to use their cell phones while casting a ballot.
Election Day is Tuesday, March 3.
Heavy rain is expected across North Texas on Tuesday.
