A familiar face is making a run to serve on the Stephenville Independent School District’s board of trustees.

Doug McLemore filed paperwork on Wednesday to run for Place 6, currently held by Cole Parks who is not seeking re-election.

“One of the most important things we can do is educate our kids,” McLemore told the E-T. “I have two kids in the system and my wife teaches in the district. I want to bring my voice back to the table and be a part of making this district the best it can be for our whole community.”

David Tezaguic has also filed for Place 6.

McLemore is a financial advisor and owner of McLemore Financial Group. He served as a trustee from 2008-2014.

Donny Hill has filed to run for Place 7, currently held by Ed Dittfurth who has also decided not to seek another term.

The deadline to file is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14.

Election Day is Saturday, May 2.
