Comanche County Medical Center is moving forward with plans to acquire Dublin Family Medicine Clinic, a move which will extend CCMC’s expansion of healthcare in the region.
Last December, the Comanche County Consolidated Hospital District acquired the land and building where Dublin Family Medicine operates on North Patrick Street, and announced plans to open Patrick Street Pharmacy.
Now, CCMC and the clinic are moving ahead with the agreement for CCMC to acquire the practice and related business assets and provide management services such as billing.
The parties expect to close Feb. 28.
The current providers and staff working at Dublin Family Medicine will join the growing roster of providers at CCMC health system. There will be no change to the name of the clinic.
John Hodges, MD, and three family nurse practitioners - Amy Young, Elizabeth Young and Jason Groseclose - along with other staff will continue providing health services at the facility six days a week.
Dublin lost its hospital in the late 1980s, and more recently, a long-running pharmacy.
To increase access to healthcare and promote community health, CCMC has stepped in to fill the gaps in service with digital imaging, radiology, laboratory, general surgery, chronic care, physical therapy, infusion therapy, wound care and other services.
Renovations of the new Patrick Street Pharmacy adjacent to the Dublin Clinic are underway with a grand opening planned for spring.
