After only three short years operating one of the area’s hottest boutiques for women’s clothing, Stephenville resident Cynthia Huckabee is moving her store to a new location and expanding her line of fashion retail.
“It’s really bittersweet,” Huckabee said of the impending move. “I love being on the courthouse square - it’s where I started. But the new store is going to be something Stephenville has never seen before.”
Silver Wings Boutique is moving to The Shops at Stephenville on Washington Street, the same shopping complex where Affordacare and Shooterz are located.
The building is in the process of being remodeled and is expected to be complete in the coming weeks.
“I am planning to be in the new location by March 1,” Huckabee said.
The store’s new vibe will include gold lighting, a vaulted ceiling and an area just for shoes.
“We will also carry some new brands like Kendra Scott, which will have its own section, as well as Liverpool and THML.
“Liverpool is going to be big because it’s high-quality denim and it has stretch so it fits everybody. It’s very popular.”
Huckabee said she is grateful the community has supported her vision and she looks forward to continuing to be a part of Stephenville’s growing economy.
“The look of the store is going to be completely different,” she said. “I think our customers are going to love it.”
