Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240's annual Veterans Day ceremony will be held Monday, Nov. 11, at the Recreation Hall. It was moved from the Erath County Courthouse because of weather.

The program will begin at 10:30 a.m. and conclude at 11 to coincide with the signing of the WWI Armistice on the 11th hour, of the 11th Day, of the 11th month, ending the War with Germany.

Erath County United Way and Interbank will serve coffee and donuts to early arrivals and seating will be provided. Tarleton State University ROTC Color Guard will present colors and the rifle salute and Taps will be presented by Post 240 bugler.

The keynote speaker will be American Legion Department of Texas State adjutant and past commander Dan Corbin. 

Corbin is a lifetime member of the American Legion and a past commander of Killeen Post 223 and the American Legion Department of Texas.
