“This year will be the 64th year,” said parish administrator for St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Terri Binkley. “It’s just something that has been going for a long time in this community. Everything that we net goes back into organizations that need help.”
Proceeds from the Mexican supper are given to nine local charities and outreach needs like the Disabled American Veterans, Backpack Buddies, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County, The Kiwanis Club Rainbow Room, Grace Place Ministries, Meals on Wheels of Erath County, Habitat for Humanity of Erath County, Erath County Humane Society and PAWS as well as food pantries.
Last year’s event raised about $6,000. This year, they hope to raise $10,000.
Lunch delivery and take out are both available. To place an order, call 254-968-6949.
“Come enjoy some great food and raise money for some organizations that really need it. It’s a great community time,” Binkley added.
