If you don’t already have tickets, you might be out of luck.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County’s biggest night of the year - Dancing For the Stars - is another sellout event.
“We sold out in just a couple of days,” BBBS executive director Sarah McNeal-Weaver said. ”But people can still vote for their favorite dancers or make a donation to our organization. Fifty percent of the dance teams’ score comes from the amount of money they raise and the other 50 percent is from their dance scores.”
This year’s dancing couples include Colt and Morgan Brown, Kent and Julie Howell, Jeremy and Hillary McBroom, Jared and Holly Mills and Spencer and Heather Sligh.
The theme is “The Greatest Show,” and attendees will enjoy a totally different vibe from the black-tie affair of years past.
“Dancing For the Stars is always fun, but we are definitely bringing a more fun element to the show this year,” Weaver said. “The couples will dance to high-energy, circus-type songs and the ballroom will be decorated with lots of red and yellow.”
This year’s judges include Brent Graves, Wanda Wade and Pastor Ed Dittfurth.
The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Tarleton State University Ballrooms.
Matt and Denys Coates were last year’s winners.
“I absolutely love everything about this event. I love how the community is so supportive and it’s just a really nice event for Stephenville,” Weaver said. “And I love to see the teams come together and get excited to help the children of our community.”
