One of the most popular and long-running homecoming traditions at Tarleton State University is the annual L.V. Risinger Memorial bonfire, taking place at 7 p.m. Friday at the Agricultural Center just off FM 8.
To offset limited parking at the event site, students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends are required to park either on the Stephenville campus or at Stephenville City Park and take a free shuttle to College Farm.
All campus parking zones will be open, with the exception of 24-hour reserved spaces.
Important details for riding shuttles:
• Shuttles will depart from two locations; the corner of Vanderbilt and Cain streets, primarily for on-campus riders, and Stephenville City Park for commuter students, alumni and community members.
• Departures to the College Farm begin at 6 p.m. and continue throughout the evening, with the last return to campus at 11 p.m.
• Only clear bags allowed on shuttles.
• No alcohol allowed on shuttles
Special parking passes for those with physical disabilities are available at the Tarleton State University Police Department on the corner of Frey and Harbin streets. The pass allows parking at the Agricultural Center for the bonfire.
